A downloadable game for Windows and Android

Back to Home is a game! (Everyone knows duh)

Back to Home is a 2D pixel art platformer where you play as a star that accidentally crashes to Earth. But… is it the only one? Can you find your way back to home? , where all the stars are waiting for you?

Face challenges, obstacles, and surprises as you explore the Earth. Adventure, danger, and excitement await in BACK TO HOME! (Imagine a lot of bombs and fire in the background that makes this name so exciting , Cuz im too lazy to do it myself.)

Play, survive, and enjoy the journey!

NOTE /!\ PLEASE READ BEFORE PLAYING /!\

This game is a prototype of an unfinished demo. I shared it because I want to know if I’m going in the right direction. EXPECT A LOT OF BUGS AND UNFINISHED PARTS!

It’s a 0.9 demo , so besides bugs and glitches, don’t expect too much polished content. Please don’t get mad if you encounter major issues (just breathe dude!!) . If you find a bug, press F12 to take a screenshot and send it to my Discord: msapps (yep, that’s it... no numbers or anything).

Screenshots are saved in:
Documents / Back to Home / Screenshots

I also had social media links, but… nevermind i feel so shy dude

btw , Please donate! Your money won’t fix the glitches, but it will buy me snacks while I pretend it does…

Very interesting game. Here's my review.

The Good:
The art-style is fun.
Clearly a ton of time was spent making this game look cool. The visual effects like chromatic aberration and shake make scenes have some pretty solid impact.

The idea is solid.
A puzzle platformer with a solid story? Sign me up! The ideas here are really good. The execution could use some work though.

The Bad:
The controls can often feel sticky and not very fun.
The character will often get stuck on physics objects and fling around and the dash's length isn't clear for example.

No explanations.
Mechanics aren't explained well at all. For example the dash doesn't tell you what key to press. I had to press keys on my keyboard until I found the correct key.

The pixel art is serviceable, but could use some work.
I saw a few cases of mixels, where pixel arts of different sizes are put together and it doesn't look the best. The game's style is wonderful! It just needs some touch ups here and there.

The Ugly:

The story is really badly presented.
The grammar is horrible and the way characters speak implies that they're insane. They jump from topic to topic without ever developing their character.  Characters will randomly swear for no clear reason. I'm not against swearing (I do it all the time lol) but in this case it doesn't fit. You even say at one point that this is a kids game. The scene with the fish and text to speech was funny, but it came out of nowhere. There's no text to speech anywhere else in the game.

I would strongly recommend getting someone to proof read your dialogue.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
You 110% have something here. You just need to spend time cleaning up what you have. I recommend reading up on game design and game feel (juice). Take what you have and polish it to the best of your abilities.

I can't wait to see where this goes. Good work so far! <3 <3

I think the game like seed in and other indie games...

Do you mean it looks like seed in?

Now let's wait.
